Mouthy Maynard Calls

My name is Daryn Maynard, owner of Mouthy Maynard Mouth Calls. I grew up in beautiful Northwest Pennsylvania, where I live with my wife and three kids. My trade as a toolmaker helped me in the process of building mouth calls that started my business in 2010.

I started hunting turkey when I was in my early twenties. It took me a few years and a lot of trial and error, but I finally connected with my first long beard and I was hooked. The ability to have a conversation and manipulate the movements of a turkey was thrilling to me. The morning sunrise and woods coming to life continue to be invigorating, further solidifying my love for Turkey Hunting!

As my two boys are getting older, my time in the woods is often spent with them, making memories hunting squirrel, deer and turkey.

It all started with Diaphragm calls, but grew to friction pot calls shortly after. Designing calls and using them to harvest birds has been a rewarding experience. I am looking forward to growing Mouthy Maynard Calls by building easy to use game calls while holding true to the sounds of the wild!
